The Australian Government is actively recruiting USA and British Serviceman? The law here states its illegal to doctor a Serviceman or Service Woman's wages meaning the law applies to your wages earned here as a serviceman for the duration of active service? After? Dunno? Its the same principle? Their debt to society is the highest most noble duty wish it applied to federal state police and diplomats too? Doesn't?

The principle of alimony is to eliminate (more likely reduce) the leverage the money earner in the marriage has over the other. When both parties earn relatively equal income, there is no alimony award. If you provide most or all of the income, and she stays home and cleans and takes care of the family, then she is to be given payment for her contribution. If not for this, the money earner could leverage the finances over the other party to trap them in a marriage.

Well, what if the person staying home is malicious you might ask? In simple terms: it doesn't matter. Either you are being dishonest. Or, you are being honest, but you've "sat on your rights". Basically, you put up with it. In the end, the court will decline to hear whatever personal spats the parties have with each other. They will base an alimony award on the factual background.

That's a short term marriage so she probably wont get spousal support.
