What is the best bed frame to get for a queen size mattress?
I have a queen size mattress and box spring that are currently sitting on the floor. I'm looking for a good frame. Here are my requirements: Price needs to be less than $200. It needs to be crazy sturdy (I'm 6'4" 280 lbs). And it needs to not squeak or be noisy when activities that would make a bed squeak are happening:) I've had the cheap metal frames in the past and would like to avoid those. I like the looks of platform beds, but I'm under the impression that a box spring is not needed for one of those (which I'm not against getting rid of the box spring). But I'm open to a normal, more traditional frame if its sturdy and not noisy like the cheap metal ones. Thanks for any advice!

I think it would just be best to get a metal frame from your local hardware store. Even though you don't want to get one, if you get a good one with a better and thicker metal or type of metal it could be great and not for a huge amount of money! They are quite sturdy! You will be able to keep your box spring.

make sure you get one that has support in the center so your mattress won't bow in the middle. a bar towards the top and a bar towards the bottom isnt enough, its needs one right across the center and with a foot. dont buy from wally world or a chain store,, go to a home owned furniture store.
