Should I get my tubes tied?

Question

I don't know what to do! I've been with my boyfriend for 8 years and we have 
two beautiful children- boy & girl! I'm currently on Mirena iud and I HATE it! Birth control side effects mess with me soooo bad wether it's pill,patch, or iud. Boyfriend said he doesn't want anymore kids and right now I don't want anymore either. It scares me cause what if we break up and I meet someone else who wants kids of their own! Then what?? Is getting your tubes tied reversible? Anyone else get their tubes tied are you glad you did or do you regret it?! Please help!! I need some advice or give me your opinion!

Don't do it!!!!!! I had my tubes tied after 3 kids and then after a year was divorced . After 7 years I  remarried to a man with no kids. He wanted a baby so bad. After I did research I found DR. B that can reverse it but it cost almost 6000 and its not 100% sure u will get PG. I had it done and 31 days later I was one of the lucky ones and now we have  4 babies together. However we did lose one due to a tubal. After u get them tied if u ever reverse them U will always have a chance of MC or a tubal due to the scare that is left were they reconnect the tube together. Wish u the best

I am in the same situation. I hate the way the pill messes with me. Please have a talk with your hubby to see if he will get snipped. It is a fast very easy "surgery" for a man and there is a chance that it can be reversed,.. dont hold me to the last part but from the little research i have done this is what i found...as far as you reversing your tube highly doubtful!!

I hate to say terrible things like this but, if you do ever break up ( and I hope not) either of you will not be able to have children when you do settle down with someone else. Unless you both considered getting married together then you should both work something out. But since your dating right now. Stick to the other contraceptives. You can never predict the future.

Dont get them tied! Its obvious that you are not sure so dont do it. Like you said what if you two break up and meet someone else to get your tubes untied will cost.

Just get them tied if you don't want anymore. After about 6-7 years they do come undone &: they'd need retied. Even if your tubes are tied, wear a condom.

I havent got my tubes tied but my friend has and she said what ever u think is best for u and she said it and the only way for it to be untied if u have another surgary to get it untied but its very expinsive

If you don't want anymore children then do it. My mom did after me, and I don't think its reversible... If you hate Birth Control, just use a condom and be extra careful, neither one are 100% but yeah... I know with a vasectomy you can freeze sperm, but idk if you can freeze eggs...?
