Broken earthenware dish - best way to mend?

Too much festive cheer and I've broken my lovely dish clean in two. Wondered if using 'no nails' to stick it back together would degrade it's 'food' grade quality. Many thanks and a happy new year

Update:

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. After further research it seems any repaired vessel is no longer food safe. Ah well - worth a try

No nails will be no good. There are ways of doing it though and here is a link to an opinion on the matter:

Picking the right "glue" for the job is essential.

Best of luck with it, Bob.

No nails wont work on this as it is to thick and not food safe

If this is to be used for heating food or in the oven then i am afraid that no glue will work due to the heat of the oven will break the bond

if this is to be used just to serve food then the only glue that may work would be a two part epoxy that requires mixing and clamping to help set for this you can use masking tape to hold the parts together while they set (may take 2 to 3 days to fully cure ) other than that a replacement may be your best option

    Best of luck
