Installing Williams FireSight Front Sight on Rifle?

Hello,

I am installing a Williams WGRS peep sight set with front fire sights on a newer Marlin 336A. I got the rear sight on and the old front sight out no problems.

I've tapped in the new front sight in flush with the dovetail on the right side (and about as hard as I had the guts to hit it without reconfirming), but it seems like it should be over another 1/8 inch or so to be perfectly centered down the barrel. To move it over that 1/8 inch, it seems like I'd have to file the sight just a hair.

So, my question is what should I do:

1. Leave it how it is and adjust the windage on the rear sight?

2. File the front sight a little bit?

3. Be bold and tap it into place without filing?

4. Something else?
