how can Arron Rodgers be considered MVP when the packers offense did great with him on the bench last week?
he is a system qb, no more no less
this award for a player not team,,so team record is not that important, individual records are, and Brees broke many this season

Rodgers will see your system, and raise you another Superbowl. The team makes him what he is and he makes them what they are. All team sports are system structures. Poor coaches lose games, good ones develop systems.

The term was "coined" to explain why some QBs played amazing at the college level, but then would fail to perform at the professional level once they got drafted. Calling a great pro-football QB a system quarterback as if to rob them of skill or quality is like saying "just because someone is rich, that doesn't mean they have a lot of money". That is silly and self-contradicting. He outplays his college stats. He is the reverse of a system QB. Get a new bandwagon word to rip on Rodgers or you just make yourself look ignorant.
Source(s): you just repeated something asinine to tear down a great QB, and you just got schooled in what MAKES a great QB. - 9 years ago
i think it should be brees mainly because he's showed that he can put great performances every week. yes rodgers is a great .
its hard to say. yes brees has got 5400+ yards and 46 TD but he also has 14 INT mainly because of the amount of deep passes he throws which gives them more time on offence which means NOS also has over 2000+ rushing
rodgers has 4500+ yards and 1 less TD than brees but has 8 less INT and passes to way more different receivers.

As a Patriots fan I have heard this argument for years against Brady's success and I defended then and I'll defend it now. Rodgers is a great QB with alot of weapons around him. However he succeeds with no running game and no defense, so alot of what he does drives them to victory. We already knew Flynn was a good backup QB (go back and look what he did filling in for Rodgers last year).

Did you hear that on ESPN from the talking heads? I could give a rats rear end as long as they win. I watched a lot of terrible Packer teams in the 70's and 80's so I am just going to enjoy them now.

Good point but he's just got 1 loss it doesn't matter how good you are you will be considered but I'm with you I don't think he should be MVP I think it should be Brees or Brady
