My 8mnth old son isnt progressing!?

He has no signs of teething. Does not crawl or even creep, just rolls around. Does not sit up alone and when I sit him up he slumps over. From the moment he wakes up I put him on a comforter on the ground for him to explore and try to get to his toys. I put him in his Bumbo for at least an hour to stregthen his trunk muscles. I don't know what I am doing wrong! I am starting to really stress over it all. :( Anyone have any suggestions on more things I can do to help him? This happen to anyone else?

Update:

Queen: thank you that definitely gives me hope! But if he isn't on his tummy he is in his bumbo or carseat in the car with me :( I don't hold him like I used to all the time its always straight on his tummy. But I didn't start doing that until he was 5 months. Maybe I waited too long?

When you brought your son back for his development examinations ...was the nurse / doctor /paediatrician happy with his progress ? If they were , then you should not be worrying ....children develop at different stages ...some do things earlier than others , but that doesn't mean there is anything wrong with your little boy . However if you are still not happy with his progress ...make an appointment to have his development checked again . ...that's what the baby doctor / nurse is there for ....they may also give you some good tips to help him along the way .

honestly, all little ones are different and there is not something you're able to do to make him a talker or not. I certainly have 2 sons. My oldest would be 4 in would and regardless of the undeniable fact that at this component there are situations that i think of he will by no potential be quiet, while he became right into a splash guy he purely did not have lots to assert! he's an extremely energetic and actual youngster and that i myself think of he purely concentrated his power on coming up his great muscle skills while he became into little. yet then there is my youngest. we've not had virtually as lots time to take a seat around reading to him or attempting to motivate him to speak because of the fact we are too busy chasing his brother this time around! he's been speaking because of the fact day one regardless of the undeniable fact that. while he became into an infant he infant talked constantly, and now at sixteen months he's speaking in finished sentences and in first guy or woman! the component i'm attempting to make i think is that we raised our boys an identical way, they're the two the two smart, yet they're purely different people! they're additionally different people from me and their father. do not hassle approximately this. Your little boy will communicate lots by the time he's 4 which you will pray for silence :)

You're not a bad parent at all. The guidelines of development are just that, guidelines. They're not rules, and they can be months out of way. One of the children I look after (I'm a professional babysitter) is two years old and has less than 20 words in his vocabulary. Nothing wrong with him at all.

Have fun being a parent :)

give him some extra tummy time.

but dont worry, my son didn't sit up til 9months, crawl at 10 months and walked by 12 months.

but when they learn something its so fast and he'll be all over the place in no time. At 8 months my son only rolled as well. Also didn't get a single tooth til 11months lol.

    hes normal

My aunt's two children didn't get teeth until they were both 16 months.

Just keep doing what you're doing; he will get there.
