    He could have given it a really good run, he should have batted until 30mins or so before the close of play.

    The pitch is still good but will deteriorate in the last 2 days so the Itchybums would have really struggled to keep wickets in hand.

    Oh well, good knock pup,shame Brian Lara woke up to watch you beat his record for nothing :(

    Unlike the selfish Matthew Haydumb who broke the unwritten honour of not surpassing Don Bradman's 334, Clarke kept that honor intact.

    Just like I predicted that Aus is capable of 1000 +runs, but they'd declare b/w 600-650, they did precisely that.

    He took two sessions this morning for fifty runs. This is a good batting pitch, if Australia can go one and a half days for one wicket, the awesome Indian batting line up can too. Be an interesting captain's call on how much time he gives India to force a draw, particularly if that choice is at the cost of the record.

    I am sure he could have but unlike some Indians he is UNselfish and thinks of team and country first!!!
