Many countries around the world are calling for the countries that mine the uranium should be the countries that dispose of the waste product. I am Australian, & I don't want radioactive material used by other countries being brought back here. Sure we mine it, but we don't use it! It's the other countries that refine it into a dangerous substance & then use it, why should we be responsible for their waste?

From my point of view, expecting Australia to dispose of other countries waste is like me expecting someone from the supermarket to come around & wipe my **** because they provided me with food.

The International Cricket Council has launched an "urgent investigation" into claims by an Indian television station that several umpires were willing to fix matches for money.

Six umpires from Pakistan, Sri Lanka & Bangladesh were exposed by a reporter from India (pretty sure that's why there are no Indian umpires caught up in this....yet) have been caught on tape taking bribes for warm up matches for the T20 world cup.

Daryl Hair: "There have been rumours going around for ages, since the IPL started, that umpires were involved.

"In my whole career, there had always been word that certain umpires were on the take here or there," he said.

"But to be fair, all the guys I umpired with at international level I think were pretty much above board.

"But I don't doubt that there have been others around, probably in a lesser environment, trying to make a quick buck.

"When I was working back at Cricket NSW, some of the Australian guys had been over there (the subcontinent) coaching and they just expressed surprise at things that were going on in that IPL," he said.

"They couldn't nail anything - it's a bit difficult when they are talking in a different language.

"Some games were going along perfectly well and then all of a sudden all hell breaks loose, there is a flurry of wickets and all of a sudden you have lost a game that you were comfortably winning."

Since this seems to be happening in the IPL, should the ICC hold the BCCI more accountable for the actions of it's fans, teams & owners such as placing suspensions on the Indian team if corruption continues in India?

In light of Campbell Newman's budget cuts & public sector jobs slashing in Queensland, I'm trying to do a little research in regards to funding from the Qld budget. Does anyone know where I can find how much the Newman government spends in financing the young LNP?

I have an issue I need to bring up with my local MP, however, I don't know who won the seat or who I should be e-mailing. Last I saw, Aaron Dillaway was a head of primary count, but behind on 2 party preferred with about 70% of the votes counted (Di Farmer was a head by approx 80 votes). It's now been 3 days since the election & I still don't know who won. Any one know who holds the seat of Bulimba or how I can find out?

We all know the ICC ranking system, & it works on win/losses, home wins, away wins & the ranking of the team they were playing. But should the system take into consideration how bad a defeat or how convincingly a team won by into their calculations?

e.g. Considering India lost their last 2 tests by an innings +, should that be taken into consideration when calculating a teams position in the rankings?

why does Australia's field consist of 1 slip, 1 gully & a catching mid on? Shouldn't they be more on the attack?

In the two tests played so far we've seen the Umpire's refer to the 3rd umpire on numerous occasions for the front foot no ball. However, we're yet to see the umpire put a referral to the 3rd umpire for an Indian bowler.

What do you make of this?

I live in Brisbane & I was given 2 delightful bottles of whiskey for Christmas, ardbeg corryvreckan & ardbeg supernova. I must say these are 2 of the best whiskey's I've ever tasted.

Now, true whiskey connoisseur's say you should mix good whiskey's with distilled peat water. Where can I get that from in Brisbane?
