How do I find out who is giving my answers thumbs down?

some persons are very linked emotionally to the subject rely of a question -- they do no longer seem to appreciate that others could have a diverse opinion that they do. some solutions do deserve a thumbs down, yet confident, I consider you that maximum of them do no longer -- and giving a thumbs down ought to certainly harm some human beings's thoughts.

Having your activity lists on your profile page set to private only makes those lists private. All your questions and answers remain publicly viewable in their respective categories. That's how the down-thumber is getting to them.

Thumbs-down ratings affect absolutely nothing -- except your ego and good mood, of course. Please try to ignore them. Then they won't affect those either and will truly be powerless and of no consequence.

Because this was never meant to be a social contact site, there is no way to find out who is giving thumbs ratings. That is totally anonymous. So is reporting violations and starring a question. There is no way to stop them. Learning to ignore them will take the sting out and render the down-thumber's actions meaningless.

Don't worry about it. My answers usually get at least one thumbs down even when no other answer to the question does.

A thumbs down on a good, accurate answer may be an indication of that other user's dislike of YOU, but not indicative that your answer itself is wrong. So someone doesn't like you? So WHAT?
