What is the Yoke of Christ, The Only Begotten of the Father, which we must take upon us to learn of Him...?

....alone, who can reveal and unfold the Everlasting Father, and True God, --- and Eternal Life-- as He really IS?

This Q. comes from this beloved context:

All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knows the Son, but the Father; neither knows any man the Father, save the Son, and He to whomsoever the Son will reveal him. Come unto me, all you that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

(Mat 11:27-30)

Jesus (Yeshua) plainly tells us that no man knows the Son, and neither does any man know the Father, except the Son, AND...."He to whomsoever the Son will reveal Him."

Bonus Q: Do you think that the invitaion to come unto the Lord Christ, and to take His Yoke upon us is crucially essential in order to learn of Him--- (whom no man knows ) --- and who ALONE can reveal and unfold the Father God of all creation?

If so, what is this Yoke of Chrst Jesus, who possesses the power of all things, and yet remains the Pure and Just One, the Holy One of God, who is meek and lowly in heart?

BQ2: Is His Humilty the yoke which becomes our salvation?

For He humbled Himself to leave the glory of Heaven, and became obedient, even unto the death of the cross.... for whomsover would believe upon Him!

So... we must believe UPON Him in orderr to even "come unto Him".... but don't we also have to take His Yoke UPON US to learn of Him, and come to know Him as He really IS?

If you had known me, you should have known My Father also: and from henceforth you know him, and have seen him.

(John 14:6-7)

Thank you, dearly beloved, for sharing your enlightened answers concerning the precious and glorious Yoke of Christ, .... For as Christ said, "my yoke is easy, and my burden is light".

Interstingly, this word for easy, describing His Yoke, is "χρηστός" "chrēstos"

khrase-tos'

From G5530; employed, that is, (by implication) useful (in manner or morals): - BETTER, EASY, GOOD (-ness), GRACIOUS, KIND....

... Annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd, interstingly, it comes from a word which means "to furnish whatever is needed!"....what a wonderful YOKE this really is.... Open our eyes Lord, to this Your Yoke upon us!

Much LOVE to YOU and to all! : )

I wonder how much "Rest" little children come into when they are in complete Trust... of their Heavenly Father! It's wonderful to think of children who rest.. in tender sleep... or when they are awake and playing in quiet moments... knowing no stress or fear, having no worries...

This is the kind of 'yoke' Jesus Christ came to give us...so we could respond like "Little children... verse 26 in readiness to obey.. "Rest; (anapouo) means to calm, comfort, and refresh us. It reflects the O.T. concept of rest as release... form the pressures and tensions of life and all tensions.

I know God is speaking to me these days concerning His ideal of resting in Him, He wants me knowing this peacefulness in all of my being, every minute of the day.

His yoke asks us, how are you all doing at rest? And it is like an invitation to us… to compare… our yoke to His… In rest we find a place of healing... comprehending so many things, such as, how His Spirit graces us, how it has Divine power to release itself in our bones... made anew. Not only that, but He will make us bone of His bone…’

It helps me see, that God's grace is sent to work for us, that God is not angry with us... isn't that something... Jesus Christ came so that all of God's previous anger could be put on the cross, taken out on Jesus.... as we begin to comprehend all that Jesus Christ descended from, so we could ascend... with Him... it is awesome... we can't help but know this is changing us as we deeply drink from His wells... when we begin to drink in, through our minds... and the comprehension that Jesus Christ is our true friend, that God's anger is not present as we come into Him as 'Little Ones'... we begin to understand the Yoke of Christ, that Jesus Christ came to share with us... walking by our sides... when he is beside us, sharing with us.

His humbleness came for us, and in humbleness we will come...He will establish our solid foundation... and in this, tear down whatever is not right. We need to look at Hebrews to go into a great study to see His descent, and all that he left for us, to really begin to understand our Jesus Christ’s full Identity… brother… for now, I am still drinking this in….. it is wonderful how His brew, fuels us, and feeds our inner man through our minds, until our heart soaks all of this in… God’s Spirit moves over our depths and calms the waters… that be..

    Love

    Kar

Seth, as we take on His yoke, His heart speaks to ours... and in His timing, we begin to fathom His humbleness... and ask for more... so our hearts become changed... wanting His special touches inside... creating in us... beauty... we love Him because He first loved us... and drew us near...

and when we begin to digest that fact, we begin to see how great the Fathers love for us is...

    Stay bright Seth

... and keep the wheels moving.. O Lord.. we ask...:) we need to be yoked with you ..we do! :)

The yoke of Christ is the holy spirit . The burden is taking the wight of his righteousness , the dieing of the old man and then rejecting the life stile you once had. John :16 7-15

As you know Jesus spoke in language that the people of His time could easily understand. A yoke was the metal rings that were paired together and put around the neck of oxens so that they would walk side by side and not be able to pull away from each other while pulling the plow. These yokes were extremely heavy and a burden on the animal. When Jesus said "take my yoke upon you for my yoke is easy and my burden is light" He was saying walk side by side with me and you will learn of me. If you stay close to me you will learn all about me. I won't burden you with heavy things or put anything on you that will be too heavy or be a burden because "my yoke is light." I won't weigh you down with a heavy yoke in order for you to stay close to me, I only ask you be willing to walk close to me by your own free will.

JESUS came to do the WILL of his FATHER, & yes his yoke was easy & his burden was light , for us who have been chosen before the foundations of the world well it is another story We must pick up our cross daily, Not an easy Yoke. we must remove SELF , or as JESUS said , Self denial , death to self. not an easy yoke, we must agonize over sin , Not a simple repent. We must stay TRUE to the doctrines of TRUTH , & call out all those who twist truth for their own monetary gains.

JESUS said , you will be hated by the world , They hated me also , not an easy yoke.

This all leads to the Sabbath which NOW , by the command of CHRIST is every day.

Every day we can REST in knowing that our LORD is with us,

These commands must be followed , our trials & tribulations must be As we conform to the likeness & image of GOD.

Blessings to all. the yoke of Christ is "Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and YOU WILL FIND REST FOR YOUR SOULS. Take my yoke - This is a figure taken from the use of oxen, and hence signifying to labor for one, or in the service of anyone. The "yoke" is used in the Bible as an emblem:

    (1) of bondage or slavery, Leviticus 26:13; Deuteronomy 28:38.

    (2) of afflictions or crosses, Lamentations 3:27.

    (3) of the punishment of sin, Lamentations 1:14,

    (4) of the commandments of God.

    (5) of legal ceremonies, Acts 15:10; Galatians 5:1.

It refers here to the religion of the Redeemer; and the idea is, that they should embrace his system of religion and obey him. All virtue and all religion imply "restraint" - the restraint of our bad passions and inclinations - and subjection to laws; and the Saviour here means to say that the restraints and laws of his religion are mild, and gentle, and easy. Let anyone compare them with the burdensome and expensive ceremonies of the Jews (see Acts 15:10), or with the religious rites of the pagan everywhere, or with the requirements of the Popish system, and he will see how true it is that Jesus' yoke is easy. And let his laws and requirements be compared with the laws which sin imposes on its votaries - the laws of fashion, and honor, and sensuality - and he will feel that religion is "freedom," John 8:36. "He is a freeman whom the truth makes free, and all are slaves besides." It is "easier" to be a Christian than a sinner; and of all the yokes ever imposed on people, that of the Redeemer is the lightest.

For I am meek ... - Matthew 5:5. This was eminently Christ's personal character. But this is not its meaning here. He is giving a reason why they should embrace his religion. That was, that he was not harsh, overbearing, and oppressive, like the Pharisees, but meek, mild, and gentle in his government. His laws were reasonable and tender, and it would be easy to obey him.Take my yoke upon you - Strange paradox! that a man already weary and overloaded must take a new weight upon him, in order to be eased and find rest! But this advice is similar to that saying, Psalm 55:22. Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he will sustain thee; i.e. trust thy soul and concerns to him, and he will carry both thyself and thy load.

I am meek and lowly in heart - Wherever pride and anger dwell, there is nothing but mental labor and agony; but, where the meekness and humility of Christ dwell, all is smooth, even, peaceable, and quiet; for the work of righteousness is peace, and the effect of righteousness, quietness and assurance for ever. Isaiah 32:17.

HA HA HA. The "yoke" is on you. The whole christ and Jesus thing was only a prank, and a lot of people fell for it. The "yoke of christ" was a great joke.

Yes, the invitation is mandatory. This is why "winning souls" is a futile endeavor. "No man comes to the father lest the (Holy) Spirit draw him." The yoke is learning about him (His Word)(putting on the whole armor of God)(My people parrish fore lack of knowledge). The yoke is so light, I didn't know it was there. He furnishes it all. "He breathed on them and said, receive the Holy Spirit; whose soever sins you forgive, they are forgiven them." THIS is soul winning at its highest caliber.

I think it actually has to do with the precepts of God. If you are loving and living in love you will have peace. It may seem like a burden to some to try and follow God's laws, or spiritual precepts, but they make your life easier instead of harder.
