My father had several strokes so I researched a bit.

    Stroke symptoms include:

SUDDEN numbness or weakness of face, arm or leg - especially on one side of the body.

SUDDEN confusion, trouble speaking or understanding.

SUDDEN trouble seeing in one or both eyes.

SUDDEN trouble walking, dizziness, loss of balance or coordination.

SUDDEN severe headache with no known cause.

To check if someone had a stroke act F'A'S'T':

FACE: Ask the person to smile.

Does one side of the face droop?

ARMS:Ask the person to raise both arms.

    Does one arm drift downward?

SPEECH:Ask the person to repeat a simple phrase.

Is their speech slurred or strange?

TIME:If you observe any of these signs,

    call 9-1-1 immediately.

While Parkinson's have totally different symptoms as follows:

Resting Tremor: is a slight shakiness in the hand when the hand is at rest. The shakiness or trembling goes away when you move the hand to do something.

Rigidity, or muscle stiffness. typically occurs in the limbs but full body rigidity is possible as well.

You might notice slow movements, otherwise known as bradykinesia.

Postural instability. You might have problems with balance.

There are some more symptoms but these are the basic early signs.

    I found a website covering a whole lot about parkinson's disease: http://infooutline.com/Parkinsons.php

A stroke has sudden onset symptoms such as facial droop, one sided weakness, unequal pupil sizes, and altered mental status. It is a true medical emergency requiring a call to 9-1-1, ASAP as they have medicine that can sometimes bust the clot causing the stroke if they get the medicine in within 2 hours of the onset of the stroke.

Parkinson's is a more gradual disease whose symptoms worsen over time.
