how do i get my microphone working?
so today im told my microphone stopped working when i was playing killing floor. ive never had trouble with it before so i went poking around trying different thing, nothing of which will work. i tried updating the realtek drivers but then the hd audio manager stops working AND the mic never actually works, i tried pluging in a USB mic and the jacked mic i was using before, nadda.

So what went first...the hardware or the software? Sounds like you need to go back to the previous driver you were using and check out your mic on a different system to make sure it works.
