Could a Fieseler Storch be fitted with floats?

I am working on a fantasy story featuring a a Fieseler Storch , but I would like it to be a seaplane. Is this within the realms of possibility?

That airplane is so tiny you could probably tape surf boards to the wheels and itd float. Or the blow up floaties on the struts would work too.

I dont see why it wouldnt float...but isnt it a taildragger? I dont see how it can be float equipped and now I think of it I dont know of any tailwheel floatplane. Maybe tape a surfboard to the tail as well as the tires. Lol

EDIT TIEM: I love you guise on yahoo answers. Learn something new every day. I never seen a tailwheel seaplane. Ill be sure to give google a shot right now. Sorta curious as to what a cub on floats looks like.

Jeremy, tailwheel float planes are more the rule than the exception. These are just off the top of my head...

    Piper J3

    Piper PA11

    Piper Super cub

    Aeronca Champ

    Aeronca Chief

    Aeronca Sedan

    Stinson 108

    Aviat Husky

    Arctic Tern

    Cessna 180

    Cessna 185

    DHC Beaver

    DHC Otter

    Noorduyn Norseman

    Beech 18

    DC3

I guy near where I live even made up a set of floats for an RV6 (a low wing sports plane), so anything is possible.

Possible, yes. Was it ever done? No, because there was really no need for it. The Germans had the Arado 196 and several other float equipped aircraft. I can guarantee that putting a Storch on floats would diminish its STOL capability as well as its utility in its intended role. If you want to maintain historical accuracy, choose a different aircraft for your story or exclude the floatplane portion of it.

There's really no reason it could not be,

As to the previous reply, conventional gear vs tricycle gear makes no difference on floats. A lot of tail draggers have been fitted with floats - every thing from a J3 Cub to a Beech 18 have been on floats.

Germans had dedicated "hydroplanes" such as Arado Ar 196
