CPU usage gets really high then drops?

It goes to 100 and and drips to about 4% . I have a Dell dimension on xp intel pentium 4 cpu 2.66GHz ram 1528mb page file 879mb used 4592mb available. I will add a screenshot of my processes when get home.

    It's completely normal for your computer to do this, all computers do. Unless your computer is ALWAYS at 100% CPU being used, I wouldn't worry about it
