Been on Depo-Provera, Can I get Pregnant?
I been on Depo-Provera for over 7 months now. My Husband and I got married in May and in April I got my first dose of the birth control shot. We both decided once we got married we don't want to use condoms anymore. I been taking my shot every 3 months like instructed. My last dose was on December 6th.
Well my Husband is in deployment training and I decided to take my other dose as needed because he was coming home for 12 days this last December 23rd. Within all the days he was here we both were very intimate. I think over the month being apart and just the fact we will be seperated for over 6 months my husband had a lot of sperm.
I did not know that what goes in must come out..by that I mean my husband would *** in me all the time because we figure i'm on the shot and it's very more passionate that way..well I was noticing I would have to wear a pad because all the sperm would fall out and that would never happen all the other times we had made love before? (sorry if it's too much information)
Well everyday he was here 12 days straight everyday we made love like that. I started to feel a tad out of it and I had told my husband, the day before he left (which would be the 11th day he was here) we both went to walmart and bought The First Response pregnancy test kit of 3. I then took one that night because we were both nervous to know (my husband is excited, i'm more of a if it happens it happens but we are still young and would love to get back into my career) well it came out negative.
Well 5 days later and i'm still very tired (even though I get over 8 hours of sleep each night) and been having tummy cramps. I have noticed being on the depo shot for over these past 7 months have I never gotten spotting but now these past days I had 3 spotting days in a row then it stopped for a day then one day it was just a spot and then nothing and now maybe like 3 spots and that's it.
I was woundering if I might be pregnant because like I said my husband ejactulated a lot in me each time? I wanted to know when should I retest? The thing I hate about the shot is that I don't get a period unless I stop the shot (and all these 7 months I have not gotten a period what so ever) and I don't know when to retest? I am planning to stop the Depo-Shot now and not get my other dose in Feb. 21 time frame because my husband will be deployed for a couple of months and won't need to be on it like I have been. So when should I retest? Should I keep buying a lot of pregnancy tests? I would go to my dr and get a blood test but feel it's too soon? I think the pee pregnancy tests will do just fine for now?

Although rare, pregnancy can occur while on Depo. But there is also a chance that your body has adapted to the Depo and the spotting you experience is a period, be it a very light and sporatic one. With this being your first period since starting Depo, the cramps and such may be a bit more severe, but may calm down with time. By coming off of the Depo, your body will begin to act more normally, which could give you a clearer understanding of what is going on. I would not put too much stress into to the matter at this juncture in time, but instead just wait to see what your body does in the coming weeks.
If you do find out that you are pregnant, good luck. Babies are truly a miracle and a blessing. Best wishes to you and yours.

The fact that it's been a while does not make "more sperm." Sperm is healthier when it's regularly flushed out and recycled.
If you have been getting your shots regularly, it's not likely you are pregnant. However, it's not impossible. The tests are usually most accurate about a week or so after a missed period. But since you don't get them, I would wait probably about 3 weeks or so since the last time you had sex to get an accurate reading.
I would recommend you keep getting your shot as scheduled. If you go off a type of birth control, it can take a while for it to go back into effect when you need to go back on it. Just because your husband will be gone, doesn't mean you won't want sex when he gets back.
If you want something more reliable you should look into getting an IUD, they are the most effective form of BC next to sterilization and you don't have to return to get a shot every 3 months.

utilising no chance-free practices you'll get pregnant,i replaced into on the dep. and stopped taking it and then 8wks later i replaced into pregnant in spite of the undeniable fact that it replaced into deliberate. the in straight forward words way of not utilising any kind of contraceptive because of chemical substances might want to be to apply condoms, cap or the coil no chemical substances are used with both of those techniques.
