These engines were known for the gasket problems with Dexacool. Your intake gasket more than likely has failed and is leaking into your engine. You need to replace the gaskets on your motor with the newer gaskets that are made for Dexacool. Dexacool eroded the gaskets that GM originally put on these engines, the problem is that GM didn't realize the problem until several years after they switched to Dexacool. With yours being 87,000 miles, it's just about right for the gaskets to start failing, only thing is that it is too late to have GM fix the problem. Your gonna have to flip the bill on this one.

Reserve tanks are on motorcycles and airplanes. there have been some automobiles that had them yet that replaced into lower back till now my time. in case you're in the habit of working your tank dry, permit me purely say that it is not a stable thought. working your gasoline pump dry and your gasoline equipment dry basically motives issues. A dry pump will fail ahead of it would. Injectors that have run dry have an inclination to construct deposits on them swifter. Get a gasoline additive and placed it on your tank on the subsequent 3 fill united statesand don't run out of gasoline lower back.
