Track meet tomorrow, ice bath?

I have a track meet tomorrow and will be running 300m and 4x400. I did a hard workout Monday and my legs were very sore today while running. I was considering taking an ice bath. Has anyone done this, and do you think it will help?

ive done it and it actually works. its cold as crap when you first get in but just sit and listen to music. i try to go about 30 mins, but i usually only manage 20. after that take a hot shower. good luck on your meet :)

bathe in warm (or heat...notwithstanding you in many cases do), rinse in chilly (absolutley FREEZING!!! chillier than you may as properly stand!) for a million minute. warm water relaxes muscle groups, and the chilly water places them in stable known situation. persist with with warmth pads (15 min.), then ice (20 min.). consume loads of bananas and different intense-potassium meals. stable success! :)
