Is it possible I damaged my truck?
I was driving my newly purchased truck, and just to see how well it accelerated from a standing position, I shifted into drive and then stepped on the accelerator. I didn't quite floor it, and I know it isn't good for gas mileage, but I guess I didn't wait long enough for the transmission to engage, and I heard my transmission suddenly engage and my tires chirped a little. Question is, if it happened only once and the truck seems to be driving normally, is it possible that any damage occurred?

your fine ! if the transmission hesitates to engage then the transmission fluid could be low or the transmission filter starting to clog up. if that,s the case your having then drop the pan and change the transmission fluid and filter but don,t flush it.

Nope- you are fine, but you should get a few thousand miles on it and an oil change before you do stuff like that.
