why do students post their homework questions ?
I don't mind helping but lately some of the questions are clearly research or essay questions, where your suppose to actually do research and answer. Clarification of concepts or help with math problems are one thing but asking other people to do your homework is something else. This bothers me because I'm a teacher and I would be very dissapointed if my students threw up their homework assignments on this forum
With regards to "how do you know where they get their answers" when you read an essay completely through there should be a sense of understanding and synthesis of information. When a student copies an answer off the internet, it is usually choppy and written in a voice that isn't there own. We know our students and we know how they write, you can usually spot it. :)

I won't even attempt to answer those type of questions posted on this forum. I think they do it so they can sound original. I mean, how is anyone supposed to know they go thier information from a Y!A forum?

They're just plain lazy. Like you said, it's understandable with math, but with English it's them not willing to do the work.
