I just got a new 3D LED 55" TV. Why do I have no sound sometimes when I go to HD stations?

I have a Comcast HD DVR. The 3D "On demand" shows also have no sound. Does my new TV require more signal strength? Would a booster solve it? I previously had a 42" LCD TV.

Update:

This one is an LG from Costco.

You may have SAP enabled on certain channels. Bring up a channel with the problem. Look for a button on your remote labeled AUDIO, SAP, MTS, or something similar. Press it repeatedly to cycle through the options. If this is your problem, it will probably be found on SAP. Run through the options, stop on and save STEREO.

You will have to do this with each channel that has the problem.

On some TVs, the SAP option may be in the menu instead of on the remote.

"SAP" is the second audio program or path. It provides, for example, Spanish dubbing. If you have SAP selected and no second audio program is being sent, you get silence.

Per your Additional Details: Good news. If my suggestion above doesn't solve it, call Costo's 24x7 tech support line. If that doesn't do it, take the set back for a full refund. You have 90 days.
