how do I edit scenes out of videos I make?

Windows movie maker will let you split a clip, as many times as you need and then delete the parts you don't need in the video. Put your clip on the timeline, then run place your indicator where you want the cut to be made (Stretching your video to a larger area helps here)then run your mouse up to the top menu, just below the very top blue line. Select 'Clip', then select 'Split'' this will split your clip. Very archaic way to do this, I use pinnacle Studio 14 HD Ultimate and it is so much easier to split a clip, it is laughable.

Also in Movie Maker, if you grab the left side of your video widow and drag it to the left, a button will appear on the bottom of the player window, that you can click to split a clip.
