MQ: I'm not sure if you're thinking just inside metal, but the first thing to pop into my head when listening was "Message In A Bottle" by the Police

MQ2: Despite the fact that it has such a raw production, I liked it a lot. It had a very beautiful, epic atmosphere at times, and other time it was aggressive without being too brutal. I think I would have liked it more with "shiny" production, but that aside, it was surprisingly enjoyable... maybe I'm building up a tolerance to scuzz, lol.

I recognized the intro immediately it's not BOC but I can't lay my finger on it... it sounds AWFULLY familiar and maybe more common than it seems...

Nice keyboards induce Black Metal... Pretty good from what I hear but not all to gripping in the OMG!! way. Still interesting... I ain't sleeping cuz of that intro mind you!!

It happens to me just about every couple of songs I ALWAYS hear passages from completely non related stuff. I can think of two examples off the bast --->

I love that song!! At the 1:00 minute mark or so you hear a very special hook which is quiet similar (astonishingly enough) to Metallica's Sanitarium (listen to the riff @ 0:55)~

Also a very strange yet wierdly familiar coice would be Sigh's epic Black passage in the song "Ready For The Final War" @ the 1:20 minute mark.

sounds slightly familiar to that one part of tom sawyer by rush, the "what you say about his company is what you say about society" part. it's a stretch though

mq2: it's pretty good actually. i haven't listened to any black metal in a long time so it's refreshing

bq: some green day song copped 25 or 6 to 4 but the rest is my imagination
