Positive? Very early test, and the photo doesn't show the line as well as I could see it, but can you see it?
I'm still over a week before my expected period, but I couldn't wait to take my first hpt, with all the symptoms I've been having. Almost immediately, a VERY VERY VERY faint positive came up. Definitely there (I looked at the test before I took it). You can only see a bit of the line in the photo (I took it with my phone, and put a negative filter on it). Can anyone else see this little line? Can I be excited?

At over a week, I would retest in a few days. I can not tell with the picture you posted whether it is an evaporation line or not. It is not impossible for a home test to show a faint line at 8 or 9 days before your period if you are pregnant, but it is unlikely. When I was pregnant with twins I did test positive (faint) at 8 days before my period was due but my doctor said that was unusual even with twins. You ovulate at about 14 days before your period and it typically takes several more days for a fertilized egg to implant in the uterus. It takes at least a couple days after implantation for hcg levels to reach what can be detected on an early home pregnancy test. If it is close to a week before your period is due, you can be a little excited but definitely retest in a few days before you really get excited.

I dont see the 2nd line to try and make a "+" symbol....but maybe the picture doesnt show it. Even the best of tests say to wait until 5 days before missed period. Some people say to wait until your missed period, but Im like you and cant wait! haha. Try again in 2 days. If you are pregnant, HcG doubles every 48 hours...
Best of luck!

I can't really tell from the picture, but it's probably still too early for a pregnancy test to detect the hormone. Try taking one during your first bathroom trip in the morning. That's when you will have the most pregnancy hormone. Wait a couple of days and try again. Good luck!

I don't see it, but that doesn't mean it's not there. My first test was really hard to tell, but the very next day I tested again and it was very clearly positive. Good luck and much baby dust to you!!!
