How can Verizon change my coverage without it voiding my contract?

I am an unfortunate victim of Altel selling out to Verizon. When I purchased my smart phone I also signed up for extended warranty protection. Today I receive a letter from the carrier of this warranty stating that the charges are increasing and that the deductible has doubled. Verizon is denying that this is their issue. I am thinking that it is as Verizon is charging me for this coverage and it is not what I agreed to when I signed my contract. Can Verizon (even though it is the insurance carrier increasing the fees) allow this to happen without voiding my contract? I really HATE VERIZON!

It's got nothing to do with Verizon, it is the insurance carrier. Read your contract with them, it allows them to increase fees.
