I am an unfortunate victim of Altel selling out to Verizon. When I purchased my smart phone I also signed up for extended warranty protection. Today I receive a letter from the carrier of this warranty stating that the charges are increasing and that the deductible has doubled. Verizon is denying that this is their issue. I am thinking that it is as Verizon is charging me for this coverage and it is not what I agreed to when I signed my contract. Can Verizon (even though it is the insurance carrier increasing the fees) allow this to happen without voiding my contract? I really HATE VERIZON!

It is oval shaped 11.5" high, it has two drilled holes with an old metal handle. on the side there is a "U" & under that is the # "60" or"66" that is stamped. On the other side in type printing is "universal" under that is "HI-FIAEC" or possibly "HI-FIAEO" under that is the # "4" This is super heavy and very cool. I would just like to know what it may be. I have tried searching the web for anything that it may be and cannot come up with anything. I appreciate any help you can give. I am certain that it is an antique.

My appliances are black, my cabinets are a medium golden oak and the floor is a little darker oak. Currently the kitchen is a light yellow. I am removing part of a wall between my kitchen and dining room and my dining room is a dark cranberry. Counter tops will be replaced, not sure of color yet, likely natural neutral stone. Cannot decide on a color that won't clash with dining room and do not want kitchen the same color.

Please help. My mother who is elderly and on a very fixed income racked up huge credit card bills. She was unable to pay them and simply stopped paying. One creditor hand delivered her a summons. She did not show up for court or answer the summons. Now she has received a notice of default. I have been in contact with a bankruptcy atty. to help, however, he is not aware of this and he has not officially filed. (This should be happening soon) Mom lives in Michigan. She does not have the means to pay these credit card bills, even in part. What exactly does this Notice of default from the court mean? Will they garnish her social security or her small pension? Any help that you can provide would be great. Thanks!

The contractor ordered supplies to build our garage after a fire. Once the building was almost done, we noticed that the windows and doors were bright white and the siding was an off white. Our house is very white and the color match is terrible. Our new garage looks dirty in comparison to our house. Does the contractor have responsibility to fix this? Are there any specific laws to support a homeowner against shoddy contractor work?

My son has documented asthma and carries an inhaler. His physcial exercise is limited even with his inhaler. He is getting marked down in PE participation because of it. The school is refusing to give him a 504 plan, which I have requested. Is this legal? What can I do?

Given the violence and references to inappropriate activity in this book and the challenges that middle schoolers face w/ bullying, social acceptance, etc. Do you think this book is helpful or a hindrance? Society has changed so much since the time that this book was written, w/ more violence and advanced ways of menacing. I appreciate your comments.

I have some very old dishes that were my great grandmother's. I believe that they are china, however, there is no mark on the back of them. The print on the plates in the center is of a horse pulling a hay wagon, with an amish looking man holding the reins and a whip. There is a red farmhouse in the background and roosters and flowers that border the plate w/ a red line around the entire plate. The print looks very primitive. I appreciate any help that you can give. I have looked at internet links but I cannot find what the pattern is called. Thanks for any help that you can give me!

I just bought the most awesome, quilted, zippered vest at a thrift store. It is silk, appears to be very expensive, the size is in metric, I'm guessing maybe European. just curious about the brand name.

I had an Austin Bunionectomy almost 4 weeks ago. I have started physical therapy, I still am wearing the surgical shoe and am starting to walk a litter closer to normal, still can't quite put all my weight on that foot. At times I am walking on the side of my foot, which I'm afraid is going to cause more problems. Could anyone who has been through this please tell me how long the swelling & pain will last. Thanks

I would like to be able to utilize this at home w/o headphones. Someone told me that I can get a connector that I can plug into the tv jacks and play it through the speakers. Is this true? If so, what do I need to buy? Also, my car is a '07 and didn't come w/ the MP3 port. I have tried a transmitter that played through the radio, but it did not work well at all. Can you recommend anything ? I can't alter the radio,I lease. Thanks!
