Old multifunction ink jet Vs cheap laser mono. Cheaper running costs?
Will use old scanner etc. Half my ink in now going into the tools bin.

Toner doesn't dry out like inkjet cartridges. That's why they use them in several of the companies I worked in. Number of prints for laser is far more than inkjet.

I absolutely swore off inkjet printers years ago. Too many problems with blocked nozzles from ink drying out and all the problems that go with it.
I changed over to a Samsung 3 color LaserJet CLP310. It's relatively cheap to buy,compact, and always produces high quality prints.
In Australia, a complete set of toner cartridges is about $50 and you should get something like 500 prints depending on color and print density.
