Yes I do.
I also refuse to open email with attachments.
with the exception of when family sends a
family photo.
I have a relative that forwards emails
that have 50 or more emails addresses
that I don't know and neither does she.
She forwards one after another - never
deleting when she forwards.
Everyone need to take the time to delete
and BCC them or not send them at all.
They are either lazy or don't know or
understand - why there is and what
creates the problem with spam and
privacy. and hackers etc.
Very good needed question.

I think it is a matter of Protocol and Courtesy.
I receive a lot of mail with a History of its Passage across the World Wide Web and there is something exciting in seeing how the Message being Forwarded has travelled.
However, the confidential data of another’s email address is a risk that we all take when using the internet.
So that the Bottom Line for each user is that they must be aware of the potential risk of attaching Personal Information to their emails; eg. Telephone Numbers, Addresses and of course the biggest mistake; Financial Information !

I very seldom forward any email but yes I do clear all of the other addresses and in some cases delete part of the contents as well. I also use BCC if I mail anything to more than one recipient.
I am reluctant to e mail some very close friends and family because of the hundreds of email addresses I see when receiving mail from them. It's a common courtesy and respect for others privacy but it is very overlooked with e mail.

I rarely forward anything to the few people I email. Each time I receive an email that starts off with the letters FWD...I do not open it...I delete it! Their loss. I have told them a million times that I do not open emails with FWD in the opening! The next letters I refuse to read begin with GOD. I delete those too!
I have had to leave several accounts by the wayside after a certain relative passed by email address with my real name to all of her friends, relatives and business associates. She thought it was cute. I strongly disagree with her.

Yes, I do, and when I forward something to more than one person, I use the BCC address line, so only the receiver sees their own address.
I do have a few that forward things to me with a slew of previous addresses. I erase them all off, sometimes change subject titles and even some content, to make it my own.
I will not forward chain mail or anything that throws guilt on you if you don't send it to a bunch of people. That stuff is trash and I delete it immediately.

Yes I do because they are mainly people I've never heard of and I don't think it is right to pass on the email addresses of other people. I'm actually quite wary of emailing people who have sent me emails containing dozens of other people's addresses because I know that I am likely to have mine sent all over the place as well by these people.

I do. I have a couple of friends who have no sense when it comes to forwarding mail and if I want to send something of the same to them I send to all others and send the brain dead friends separate. You take a chance sending to them any thing as they send some things to me with pages of others email addresses on them. Drives me nuts.

A person I know is always forwarding me emails that I don't want. Blocking her hasn't helped. So, when I get an email from her, I immediately forward it back to her, unopened.

I really didn't know that you were supposed to do that until a friend told me about it. I do it if I can, but some of these chain e-mails are embedded so that you can't erase the people's names, so I only forward it to the few people who don't care.

I usually delete the old addys to tidy up the message. I leave the information on if I think the person I am sending it to would want to know the source.
