Recalling from Juniors to NHL?

Does anybody have a reference dealing with recalling a player playing in the Juniors (as defined by the NHL as OHL, QMJHL, WHL, CHL) after the season has started or returned by the drafting NHL club?

The CBA briefly discusses this but refers to a May 2, 1995 "agreement" between the CHL and NHL, that now applies to all Junior Leagues per the CBA. Does anybody know of a good or certified reference that lays out the provisions on when a Junior Player may return to his NHL team and what must occur for this to happen.

Update:

ONI,

I get that part, however after the Junior season is over (for their team) recalls can now begin again. This is the area I am not finding a clear answer in. When can they be recalled? After their Junior team season is over? After the Junior Season is over? Can they be loaned to another Junior team during the playoffs or can they be recalled when their team is done? Can they be assigned to the AHL or only occupy a Black Ace spot on the NHL Roster? If a player player only 2-3 games NHL time after they can be recalled, does this change the 10 game EL SPC, and if over 10 games but less than 40 and 19 yo with 2+ years does this change the UFA period?

I don't have a copy of the CBA, but I can tell you that any player in the Canadian Junior Leagues cannot be recalled by their NHL team once the NHL season starts. They have to appear on the opening day roster.

Now, if they play more than 9 games, their first year of their entry level contract begins. That's why teams usually give their CHL players a 9-game tryout, and then make a decision on whether to keep the player in the NHL, or to send them back to the CHL for the season. Once they're sent back, they cannot be recalled.

The person who has answered is actually wrong but only on a small detail. A junior player may only be called in an emergency situation. For example the Leafs had to call someone up because of an injury but there farm team was on the road but they had Kadri playing in London who could be called up. It can only be on an emergency basis. The 9 game rule is correct however. The emergency Junior call up is likely only 1 MAX 2 games
