Metal Fans: interesting (??) tidbit of the day?

Hey Tron:) that's one of my favourite tune/vid combos ever... totally love everything about it! didn't know Dead was in it though! which brings me to mq2: that vid is the first music vid directed by Jonas Åkerlund who was in Bathory for a while but then went on to make it big as a video director with the likes of Roxette and even later the ace vid of Madonna's 'Ray of Light' and the great 'Smack My B**** Up´ vid from the Prodigy. He also did a cool film called 'Spun' that's well worth a watch as well ;)

I never listened to Candlemass, but I like it. As for Dead, Not very Kvlt at all, or Trve for that matter.

Mq: I thought it was interesting, I'm having a slow morning, I didnt sleep at all. And I'm barely having my coffee at 11am.

MQ2: Not that I can think of actually.

BQ: 9/10 couldn't really find anything wrong with it. It was great. Video was ehh though.

I never really cared much for Ohlin, though his story and black metal vocals are legendary they really don't mean a thing to me. However, I have read a little bit about him and he was very much like someone I knew and grew up with, even though deep down I knew he wouldn't make it very well in this world I still cared for him very much. He, used to stay in his room ALL the time, Drink Beer, Listen to Metal, and he had very dark overtones to his personality, he was one of my best friends but I lost him to extreme alcoholism I think I have told you this story a million times.

what makes Ohlin so "special" and a legend is because yes he was in fact one of the very first black metal vocalist, but primarily the extreme anti social behaviour of him, his darkness, his desire to look like a dead corpse on stage and then of course his brutal suicide. Euronymous sticking around for a while taking pictures of Per's dead body, the whole sick charade behind that event is legendary. However, I don0't think Ohlin is all that great of vocalist to tell the you the truth. Nonetheless, that was a good catch by you Owen, and Clandlemass is one of my favorite Doom Metal bands.
