What has happened to Republicans?

I watch the debates and it just makes me cry. It's not even the politicians, it's the people in the audience! When did Republicans get to the point where they reward brash, aggressive behavior? Giving Newt a standing O just because he attacked the news media??? Even if he had a point, there is more than one way to make a point. Why do Republicans reward this confrontational, immature behavior??? What happened to CLASS?

Update:

@Aubrey - Um...read the news lately?

Update 2:

@TheDude - Paranoid much? Last I checked it is the Republicans who want to sell out our environment, our health, and our economy just so their CEO buddies can have another ivory-plated backscratcher. That's not wealth envy, that's saying "make your money honestly and keep the environment intact for my children." You need to take a hard look at what is really going on in this country and who is really working for YOU.

Update 3:

@parochial - Thank you :). Isn't it funny - I even said in my details that "even if (Newt) had a point, there is more than one way to make it." I was trying to say, whatever happened to dialogue? Republicans today default to this angry, blood-pressure-raising, "I'm right and you're wrong" lunacy! Whatever happened to showing a little class? Yet I get all of these answers being aggressive right back at me - the point went right over their angry heads.

Lady, I share your feelings. I have felt disenfranchised for a long time. Ron Paul is my only choice and It makes me sad because when he is gone there might be no one to pick up the flag of common sense. I pay my bills and do not start fights with my neighbors when some discussion will solve the issue. I am responsible for my own actions and treat others with respect as I would wish them to treat me.I want to get along with my countrymen and women and move our country successfully forward instead of getting lost in this quicksand of hate and divisiveness.

You're absolutely right but there is plenty to go around both parties from what I've seen. I honestly (and this isn't just a rant) blame right wing radio people like Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck. They have done nothing but make a fortune by being crude and getting their audience agitated with exaggerations and half-truths. Look at the questions on YA - people try to be cute and funny, but the bottom line is they are insulting and disrespectful toward anyone who disagrees with their views. All that does is take away from the rational discussion of issues.

A confrontational, immature question was asked by the debate moderator. As a mature, informed voter, I do not care what a candidate's ex-wife has to say about their long ago personal life. Is that really more important than the economy, jobs, foreign affairs, wars, etc? I think not.

Sorry, even in spite of the undeniable fact that it is the media. They threw no longer something yet softballs to Obama in '08 - they throw out a various set of questions to those that they might desire to work out do nicely as antagonistic to those that do no longer share their schedule Joe (3 letter be conscious, J-O-B-S) Biden has made encyclopedias worths of gaffes that have not been reported. Barack (fifty seven States) Obama has made volumes of gaffes. We in no way hear approximately those from the media - basically those made by potential of Republicans. needless to say, the media does play favorites

    They have become sooooooooo bitter.

The fact is, and this is the sad part, that it boils down to "false machisimo".

You got a bunch of chicken-hawks trying to act like badasses to overcompensate.

They've gotten off on this "American exceptionalism, no compromise, never apologize, no compassion for the enemy, etc" crap... and now they compete with each other to see who has the biggest philisophical pecker.

The only thing that will save the GOP is for them to find a genuine badass (a successful general or someone who is beyond reproach).

When they find out that REAL badasses actually DO compromise, apologize, and have compassion... they will put their pee pees back in their pants and regroup back into a viable party.

So YOU are just one of those who loves to excuse the rude behavior of Biased "moderators"? Sorry, but those scum deserve real rebukes for their distracting and slanted questions.

When you get a education and recognize what is important your views will change.

Be a Responsible citizen a Join in the harsh treatment of Liars in the Media. It will improve the education level of the American voter because they will become aware of just how bad the Mainstream Media Propaganda Machine really is.

Those people are from South Carolina, there idea of making a point was firing on Fort Sumter and starting a Civil War. General William T. Sherman taught them some manners back in the day, but clearly they have forgotten and probably need another whupping to remind them.

in the last 30 years the Rs decided to become the enablers of the zionist agenda of greed of wall street , corporations , and the bankers . they are now working exclusively for the rich . of the 1%, by the 1% , for the 1% .

i will vote for a president and congress that salutes a flag with five pointed stars , not six .

Source(s): human need , not corporate greed

    Oh STFU!

You have the exact wimpy, "Nothing going on here" attitude that winds up with millions of people in DEATH CAMPS!.

I am whole heatedly convinced the Liberal News media is the main PROPAGANDA tool for the destruction of American society.

Why put up with immature, confrontational behavior of the media to begin with?? Who the hell they think they are??
