My laptop froze on excel, and now it wont start?
It wont start even on safe mode. Whether i power on/off or try to start on safe mode, it will go to chkdsk screen. If i choose to start windows normally, it will go to a black screen and stay there for hours.
I've researched and talked to a few people, and they told me it is either my hard drive or ram. I have a lot of important information on my laptop on excel and bookmark pages and do not want to lose any of these. Help??? Thanks!!!

It is unlikely that Excel has anything to do with your hardware problem.
You have adequate AV software, I presume.
Hard drives will crash. If you are so careless as to not back up your important information, then what can we say? For a $100 yo could have bought an external HD for BU. You can send your lap top in and they will charge about $500 to recover some of the files on it. Smart.
Ohh. BTW. First thing you should always do is remove the battery. Let it sit for 30 minutes and put battery back in. Then try. If that doesn't work, prepare to spend some bucks.
