?

Id like to redo my kitchen countertops. Currently they are laminate but the top coating has come off (after 10+yrs) which allows it to stain easily. What can i do to redo them on a budget? I thought of contour paper however am concerned of burning it with hot plates and such. Any advice would be greatly appreciated thx!

I am trying to obtain a certification in bookkeeping. Ive researched upon 2 schools but but hard to find reviews on? Has anyone used AIPB or NACPB? Are they legit? Nacpb seems a bit fishy but i cant decide!

I dont trust my husband to handle our money anything past bills and a few hundred bucks left over.

In the past one time, hes secretly given his mom money which i found out through bank statements.

Hes also on 2 occasions used up everything in my sons savings account withoit notifying me. The first time i let it go and forgave him. He did it a 2nd time and i had enough.

Im a stay home mom full time so i dont have any income at all.

So now that ill be working some things gotta be discussed.

Ive asked him to ask his dad if he can come home just a 2 hrs earlier (he works for his dad) so he can watch the kids bc my mom has to go to work and he got really angry about this.

Then i told him id like to take over the remainder of the money after he pays bills and divide certain percentages for these below:

- emergency funds

- vacation funds

- Christmas funds etc

And he also got really angry.

Can sum1 please tell me wat his issue is?? Ive tried to be understanding that hes under a lot of stress bc he does work a 2nd job at home at night times everyday after his full time job but i still think this is no way to treat me as his wife as if ive done something awful. I feel guilty for going back to work and everytime i have to discuss something with him i have to always tippy-toe my way around him bc i already kno hes gonna get upset. He says its bc he hates, but could it be his ego? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!

I fed my 17 month old king mackerel.. I'm sorta freaking out right now because all over the internet it says how bad it is bc of high levels of mercury. What should I do? He probably ate about 5 bite size pieces.. help??

It wont start even on safe mode. Whether i power on/off or try to start on safe mode, it will go to chkdsk screen. If i choose to start windows normally, it will go to a black screen and stay there for hours.

I've researched and talked to a few people, and they told me it is either my hard drive or ram. I have a lot of important information on my laptop on excel and bookmark pages and do not want to lose any of these. Help??? Thanks!!!

Got in a huge fight with sister just today, and just need to vent.

Long story short starting from the past, my sister left my mom and I and i've been supporting her as far as paying for all the rent utilities and etc. (She doesn't make much money). My sister left because she couldn't get along with my mom and decided to live with her boyfriend. She only sleeps over our house when she gets in a fight with her boyfriend, she also uses our mailing address for her mails, and NEVER helps us out with bills. I Just got married and have to move to another state, which im also taking my mom with me. This christmas, we decided to visit my husband's in laws for one week so i asked my sister today if she can spend christmas with my mom for the weekend this year. I just simply asked and then she blew up saying "not trying to be mean, but dont expect me to do everything u ask me. it's already inconvenient for me that you guys are moving to another state and i have to keep visiting yall. Just because you got married, doesn't mean u neglect ur own family". So i got mad and blew up on her saying what a horrible daughter and sister she is for leaving us in the first place, and how she's the one who neglected us first and to never use our apartment again if she gets in a fight with her boyfriend. I told my husband, and he says lets not rely on her anymore since she's not dependable. I'm not asking for pity, nor am i asking anyone to take my side. Even if I am wrong, i would appreciate honest answers. Can someone tell me what went wrong, or what I did wrong or how i should handle this situation? Honest answers would be greatly appreciated. By the way, I am 4 months pregnant so my hormone levels dont help this situation either.

Okay so from the beginning i dont think my MIL really liked me. Long story short, her son and i decided to get married. His sister's wedding is in feb.. and we decided to do ours in dec. The reason we're doing it so fast and rushed is because we will be moving to a different city (1.5hrs away from where we currently live) and I wanted to get atleast half the planning done while i'm still here in atlanta. Plus i'm pregnant, and baby is due in May. I'm not even sure if i'll have time to come back here to atlanta back and forth and plan a wedding when i'll be working full time + baby.

Welllllll my mil started tripping out - her excuse is everything, literally. I'm not trying to talk badly about her, but it's true. Her excuses are a little bit of everything. I dont know if she is really caring for our situation, or if it's because her daughter is getting married in february and the dates are just too close? I really dont know. We are having a family discussion tonight with his parents, my fiance, my mother and I. What should I do? I'm pregnant and can only have a limited amount of chocolate of 200mg/day. Wellll 1 reese's peanut butter cup is 21g .. I would assume it would have 21g of caffeine although it did not specify. If I do.. 21g divided by .001mg that gives me 21,000mg. Which means I am WAY over my limit. Please help? Thanks! Is it possible for 1 reese's peanut butter cup to have 21,000mg of caffeine?

We are newly weds.. I am pregnant 3 months so our options are pretty much limited. I would like to just stay home but I feel my husband will find that a bit boring? I was thinking we dress each other up, stay home and pass out candies, play twister or other board games. Any other fun ideas? We're pretty boring lol.. my husband is the more the drinker, party type of guy but im more of the country stay at home boring mom. Any ideas would be great! =)

He comes home drunk at times.. and he reeks of alcohol to the point where it is intolerable for me (of course while i'm sleeping, I don't realize how bad the smell is). But.. could inhaling/breathing that stinch of alcohol harm my baby?

I recently found out that I am 5 weeks pregnant. My boyfriend is aware. At first we tried the whole "no sex before marriage" but miserably failed, as you can see that I am now pregnant. So now that I am pregnant we decided to get married (just papers for now, until we have enough money to have a real wedding) .. but then last night we got into a huge fight. I am 26, and he is 28. It was all a misunderstanding and this morning he texts me saying that he thinks we should rethink the whole relationship and marriage thing. I told him that I will not hang on to him (again, have done so in the past).. and that If he wanted to work it out then fine, I'll work it out too but I will not hang on to someone who does not want to be with me.... I do agree our personalities dont mix. And because I am pregnant, my hormone levels are acting crazy so I have a lot of emotional mood swings which he can't understand and doesn't even try to understand.

So on that note.. what should I do? Im just so scared - I'm scared to be a single mom and I never expected myself to turn this way.. I'm asking religiously.. religiously what is the right thing to do?

I'm making a new couch cover and its my first time. Silly question, but should I use the "upholstery needle, and upholstery thread" for the sewing purposes? And additional tips and advice would be greatly appreciated. My base theme is just plain white, since i plan on decorating my living room with other bright colors. Thanks.
