Why has every Atheist I've met been a very angry person?

Is it just that only the ones that I've met are Angry or is it a Generalized thing to say about them?

Update:

It seems that some of the Atheists are under the Impression that if you are a Christian you have to ALSO beat people over the head with a Bible. I do not go around preaching to people, in fact I am very private about my Believes.

Update 2:

My personal view on the whole Bible Thumping thing is that people aren't going to listen if they aren't ready to so it will only do harm to talk about God until they ASK themselves.

I refer you to the comment made by Acid Zebra, you could interpret this comment as an angry response, but when you look at gthe reasons for such a response you can then see, if you are suffficiently open minded, why it feels that these people are angry with you, not your religion, not the belief in a god or deity, not any of the things you claim are true based on religion. They are personally angry with you.

Now the important question here is why?

Easy. I will go with my personal experience here, and my experience of the god/no god debate here, and that is extensive, it goes way beyond Yahoo Aswers.

First, if I do not want to believe, then I am not going to unless significant evidence outside of holy books is produced to show that the actions of a god or deity are needed, if you cannot do that, then to continue to argue with me, at a personal level, is pointless, and no matter what you say, I am going to get bored, frustrated, and ultimately annoyed that you cannot seem to see or accept that I am as much entitled to my view as you are on yours, and if you cannot bring something new to the discussion, I will then tell yopu to go away, and if you do not, I am am going to respond negatively, much in the same way you would if people kept coming up to you saying, 'god is delusional, you're a nutter, he does not exist.'

That covers an everyday level, and if you think about it, it explains why a lot more than just atheists get very angry with the constant knocking on doors by JWs.

The issue is not actually with you, it is with the arguments that are made, and in many cases for example, I have found that all theists make the same arguments time and again, some of those arguments have become a joke, we know that they are simply untrue, and explaining how they are wrong has become a frustrating business, there are for example, only so many times that, as a person that is qualified in a number of sciences I can explain what a theory is, and why the comment it is only a theory is both wrong and dismissive.

I could give you a very long list of examples like this, but you only need to hang around in this room for a short length of time and you will begin to see it yourself, that is of course, if you are open-minded enough to see that just because you are convinced of your side of the debate, those on the otherside of it may just have convincing arguments, and the evidence to back it up, to prove you wrong.

Because the atheists you have met, you have only know they were atheist because they prob were cocky enough to want to pronounce the fact they are atheist.

I used to say I was atheist, but even though I dont THINK there is a God, there COULD be. I don't know.

And anyone, in my OWN opinion, who believes in only one possibility (ie. "there is definitely a god", "there definition is no God") has denied a key attribute in all people: NOBODY knows for sure.

An atheist who preaches his beliefs would probably be an angry ******; same thing though with many religious fanatics too.

The only thing, I think, that anyone knows FOR SURE, is that they don't know ANYTHING for sure. If you think otherwise, you just might be a very angry person.

Well, I'm now not an irritated individual. Being an agnostic-atheist myself, I do call for proof if any one proceeds to drive their devout perspectives upon me. That is not ok. But on a traditional day foundation, if any one simply clearly talks approximately faith, I would possibly not care. Believe anything the **** you desire to, I would possibly not care; simply do not try to inform ME to consider them. The standpoint I simply provided are on the whole the traditional atheistic individuals; however I have no idea why you've got psychotic peers.

Away from the internet, I don't have this issue with atheists more than I do anyone else. But on R&S it's a disease! It seems like they are angry all the time... well unless they are ripping on religious people. It's the only thing that seems to make them happy.

Why has every Xtian I've met been a very hateful person?

Is it just that only the ones that I've met are hateful or is it a Generalized thing to say about them?

it's incredibly generalized, it's like saying every Christian i've ever met, has been a condemning, hateful, unforgiving, homophobic, ignorant human being - oh wait.

both can be just as bad. but it is a generalization. Have a lovely day :)

Being angry or not has nothing to do with general believes. If you feel something, does that mean I should label you as...what?

Either you've just happened to meet angry ones or you've pissed them off.
