Want to be a doctor...best college for me?

I want to be an oncologist (or a trauma surgeon) when i am older, but i don't know what would be a good university/ college to get into, to start me off to becoming a doctor. My grades aren't so high but my average is in the early 90's. I am also taking as many science courses as i can (doubling up). I was looking at NYU mostly because i live in NY and a lot of people told me its a really nice school.

You can start at any 4 year University. While there, you'd complete the pre-Med courses along with ANY major, and take the MCAT before applying to Med School.

At Med School, you'd take the same courses as everyone else for 4 years. During your 4th year of Med School, you'd apply for a Residency program in the Specialty of your choice (for Oncology you'd do a Residency in Internal Medicine for 3 years, followed by a 2-3 year Fellowship in Oncology; for Trauma Surgery you'd do a 4 year General Surgery Residency, followed by a 4 year Trauma Fellowship).
