What is the style 'new goth'?

I haven't heard the term "new goth", but I have heard "neo goth" which I'm assuming is basically the same thing. And in my experience, neo goth is pretty similar to the term mallgoth. In other words, someone who thinks he/she is goth, but really isn't and knows nothing about the subculture (so the sort of people who wear baggy pants with chains, have poorly applied/overdone black make-up, listen to bad metal, etc.)

I have never heard of that style I'm afraid so I don't think I'll be of help.

I've heard people say that Emo was the new goth but that is not true and I think that's a pretty dumb saying since they both are very different.

There's nothing new about Goth.
