Actually, a few presidents have been challenged on birthplace grounds, but none to the extent of Obama.

Part of the problem this time was that Obama's parents were from Kenya, leading to speculations that he was as well, or that British citizenship laws somehow got in the way.

Obama began a trend. And surely you didn't expect them to own up to the "because hes black thing" not that one.

Well if you have a president by the name of Barrack Hussein Obama, then that person is suspect.

none of them in modern times were born of a non-citizen/non-resident parent. Not to mention the US parent hadn't been living in the US.
