Devo Max for England : The obvious corollary ?

With recent polls in both England and Scotland showing majority support for Devo Max ( increased fiscal autonomy ) in the forthcoming 2014 Referendum in Scotland one wonders why the Cameron / Clegg coalition are clouding the issue with a diatribe of irrelevancies . By adopting such a policy south of the Border they would not only solve the West Lothian problem but provide a Parliament for Britain’ s largest nation.

Update:

Let me clarify the last sentence . I am suggeting that England as well as Scotland adopt " Devo Max"

I would be very concerned that England could look after itself on its lonesome, I suggest we send 550 MPs down to look after them for the next 300 years and we'll call that the "West Bromwich Solution", we could also leave our pseudo Scots - the laddies Cameron and Gove to keep an eye on them, or as a last resort leave the French to keep an eye on them, but if they really can't hack it without our leadership we could sponsor them through the UN. Always willing to help an old friend.

Maybe your not as smart as you make yourself out to be. The English don't give a damn about the Scottish. There is only 5 million of us. Do you really think a country with 50+ million people care about Alex Salmond and the Scottish people? Do you think English people are actually interested in Scottish politics and what goes on in holyrood?

No. We are just little scots living of English taxes...We are nothing to them.
