My PC won't connect to the internet?
I just built my first computer and installed windows 7, everything went fine until i tried to connect it to the internet via Ethernet cable from my modem. i connected my router to my modem which supplies wireless internet to my house and then connect my pc to my modem which isn't working. there's nothing wrong with the cable I've tested it with my laptop, maybe its the ip dress but I'm not sure. any help would be appreciated.

did you install the drivers for the internet card? if you didn't you won't receive any internet or detect it, if you did, try removing the card and plugging it back in,(with the system not connected to power ofcourse and grounded because you dont wanna destroy your card with a simple electric shock)
