Does KY have jurisdiction over a child who used to reside in KY but has lived in Indiana for 6 years?
My daughter was born in KY. Her dad and I were never married. We have joint custody, but nothing says anything about relocating to another state.
My daughter lives with me. We moved to Indiana (about an hour from her dad). We have lived here 6 years. I notified him December 13 that we are planning to move to Minnesota, as my husband has been relocated with his job that he has been at for 9 years.
Her dad wants to stop the move.
Does KY have jurisdiction over this case?

Once the court issues an order regarding custody, that court RETAINS jurisdiction over custody of the child until the child becomes an adult, or BUT the original court and another court agree to transfer jurisdiction to the new court.
