Suggestions on a path to take for this career?

Currently, I am working to become a Veterinary Technician, my ultimate goal would be to become an animal behaviourist concentrating on wolves, but also managing wildlife conservation in general.

Wolves have always fascinated me, and I've always had a strong passion for saving animals and teaching people about them and how they live and how we can help their populations. I love the outdoors, I am a very good wildlife photographer, and my fiance is thinking of changing fields to become a Park Ranger/Warden, making this career choice even better as he would be working in conservation areas.

I just have no idea where to start. I know you need at least 4 years in Wildlife, Ecology, Zoology, or Biology, but where would I start on specializing my area of expertise?

I would recommend that you contact some of the groups/individuals that are working in the area that you eventually want to end up in. What you are talking about is such a specialized area, it's going to be hard to get information from a place like Y! Answers. By contacting someone directly who works in that field, you will have your best chance of getting quality, detailed advice specifically for your situation.

There are many wolf-related programs out there that offer internships, educational opportunities, etc. Take advantage of them. Networking is one of the great ways to get yourself involved, see all the different opportunities out there and figure out just exactly what you should do to get to where you want to be.

If you intend to tie in your veterinary technology degree with your love of wolves, consider volunteering at a zoo and eventually looking for a position in a zoo. There is a veterinary technician specialty for zoo medicine.

Select a school where wildlife / outdoor studies are included with required science programs. You might be able to do actual work towards goal while obtaining degree., your fiancé could also work towards park career. I know of a couple people who went to university of new Hampshire who went into park service as wardens. Good luck
