Women with Excessive Facial Hair?
Is it sociably acceptable to request a female member of the staff to observe the no-facial hair policy?
Normally I'd overlook it but there's a thirteen year old girl who started working at my job two days ago and she resembles a bear. I considered ignoring the matter based on her age, but customers are complaining and I had one woman yesterday make mention of a hair in her sandwich and I think this kid is shedding everywhere. It's incredibly disturbing if you think about it. Anyways, do I tell her parent or caretaker to see she sees someone about that before her next shift or just tell her myself that it's company policy not to have any facial hair when working with food and she qualifies for a shave? My old boss used to keep spare bics in his desk so when our male staff forgot to shave before work, they could take care of it real fast in the bathroom and I'm thinking about sending her home with one, but I want to do this is a subtle way so as now to make her feel shame for her face hair. Please help as I've recently acquired this management position and want to keep my staff comfortable. Is there any sort of cream I can buy her? She's not so bad and seems nice enough, just she's so ugly. Thanks.

I know what you mean, ugly women, especially hairy ones are a blight on our society. As for removing it, there may be a bit of a problem there for if she is Italian or Spanish, the hair will grow faster than you can shave it. Mind you, sporting an extremely large handlebar moustache can have its benefits as casual customers will flock to the establishment to either admire the moustache or ridicule it. Either way the establishment gains. Okay the girl may feel a little embarrassed at people gawping at her but if you take her to one side and tell her to shut up her whining and go with the flow she will be much better off in the long run.

Hmmm... i'm shocked by capacity of your question besides because of the fact the few solutions won so far. i've got traveled significantly throughout Europe and have not observed that countless the girls had severe facial hair. there have been countless acceptable women folk (esp in Germany - for the moron above) and that i think of the inbreeding and not evolving statements are stupid and infantile. improve up people - oh wait, you'll be little ones. fact be standard, countless women interior the states improve facial hair as they age, yet use products (hair removers, bleaches, and plucking) to do away with it.

Blame it on the customers. Say that there are many customers out there who are insensitive and you don't want her to get hurt. Say that facial hair is actually a problem that a lot of women have, but that they go to get it removed. Offer her a free spa/depillation (sp) certificate.

Let a trusted female mother figure drag her to a not so expensive beauty parlor during lunch on your cost. If she likes the reactions she is getting from her surroundings (so for godsake let someone flirt with her once it is done) she will keep it up herself.
My compliments for seeking help and not just firing her. Good management work! :)

Poor girl. Tell her to stop eating chicken bones and then the hair will go away.
