What movie, actor, or actress would you like to see win in the Academy Awards?

Update:

Why?

It's good to give some reasons like Sips did because it will help me choose somebody for Best Answer.

Update 2:

Oh, please excuse me. That's Sip, not Sips.

Update 3:

These are all good answers. At least most people are saying something more than just a name.

Helen Miren in her role in the movie The Debt. What an actress!! Then there's all those wonderful ladies in the movie The Help.

Edit: Oh, sorry. I don't know much about how to critique an actor but, boy did Helen Miren convince me of her role as a spy who set out to make things right in the end. I never cried and laughed so much as I did sitting down watching The Help. What a great movie. It deserves an Oscar. Of course, I never watch the Oscars. lol.

I would like to see Meryl Streep win the best actress award for her role as Margaret Thatcher.

She is able to take on a personality and make it her own. I don't need to know what her role

is about. When I see hername, I know she's taken on a role, because she knows she can

make it seem possible, and she is believable in every role. I always know that anything she

is in, is going to be a good movie. Just because she is in it. And I don't think I'll be disappointed

when I see her in this role soon.

George Cluney - for very convincing, emotional, sensitive acting in a different type of role (the two girls who played his daughters were really wonderful too).

Meryl Streep - I can never, ever go past her as an actress, just amazing how she can be the chameleon - incredible.

Helen Miren is wonderful too, yet as I said I cannot go past Meryl.

I agree with the people who voted for Meryl Streep, She is a classic and a legend.

We haven't seen the movie yet, as it hasn't played out here ---yet.

Going to see Janet Evanovich' One for the Money with Katherine Heigle, Debbie Reynolds, and Sherry Shepherd. Better wear Depends, I think it is going to be a pee-in-your pants non-stop laugh movie..

Harry Potter and Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. They should both win everything because they are the only movies I saw this year and I thought they were great. Were there other movies out this year?

I don't really get into it that much, but I'd love to see Meryl Streep win again. She's nominated all the time but hasn't won in at least 20 years. She is a national treasure.

I saw George Clooney in "The Descendants" last week - what a great performance ! His character went through so much in the space of about a week, and George's performace captured this perfectly. He was a stand-out for me !

The older I get, the more I realize how silly it is that we get all excited over someone's performance in a movie. That said, I think The Help should win.
