The car was invented, someone decided to put the steering wheel on the right side of the car and someone else decided to put the steering wheel on the left side of the car.
What factors were considered in these two designs? Is the location of the steering wheel a driving factor in which side of the road you drive on, or vice-versa?
This is the first of two questions that I have!

Yes, convention has it that two oncoming drivers are nearer to each other, so when you drive on the right side of the road, the driver's seat is on the left side of the car and vice-versa.

because of the fact people rigidity on the main surprising area of the line, and the different worldwide places rigidity on the left. putting the guidance wheel closer to the midsection of the line enables you to better see each and every thing around you on an identical time as you rigidity.

the driver came from wagons..the driver sat in the middle until the stagecoaches needed an armed guard to protect the coach..he ran "shotgun" with the shotgun on the right side , and the driver moved to the left
