Does Romney's personal wealth work for him or against him?

His wealth is a reminder of his disconnect with the average man, for example his $10,000.00 bet to Perry in a previous debate.

Both, his personal wealth makes him look smart / successful, but it also makes him look disconnected or somehow dishonest.

Most things have an up and down side =/ but in my opinion I wouldn't want to elect someone who made poor business decisions running the country lol. This is one of the main reasons I'm pro-Romney.

It works for him in that he can buy more advertising.

It works against him because people believe he made that fortune by destroying jobs and the lives of hard working people.

It makes him seem arrogant (some You Tube videos show him being very condescending to anyone who puts him on the spot about his plans as president).

Ordinary people do not feel that he relates to their needs and problems because he has not experienced their pain.

In my opinion it works for him.

I believe the president should not be just a common person, but should be "uncommon". His wealth is a testament to his success.
