If you where innocent of a crime, would you show up for court to defend yourself?

Referring to Obama and his Attorneys refusing to show up for court yesterday.

Update:

You have to show up on a civil case also. It will be a criminal case.

Are you saying Obama does not need to recognize a lower court and he can do anything he pleases?
