I dont know what to do with my bedroom (decorating)?

Imagine a box, 3m by 3m. That's the size I'm working with. I don't know what colour to paint it or whether to have wallpaper. I'm mid teens and I'd like something modern and classy. I like doing colour schemes but with four flat walls it doesn't tend to work well. I'm really, really stuck.Someone creative, please help me!!!

Having more info would be helpful...like knowing if and where windows are, closet, what kind of flooring...size of bed, etc. But here's 2 great sites for inspiration:

Better Homes & Gardens site: bhg.com

    And HGTV.com/bedrooms

Either one has lots of things to see once you browse around. Actually, wallpaper is making a comeback..but I'd only do 1 accent wall.

Nice colors for a room might be: white bedding with delicate, sophisticated gray floral....accents in deep shades of plums, berries, wines, etc (like that)...white flowing drapery panels on windows. Silver accents in table lamps with white lampshades. Accent rug in the plums, etc category (placed under the foot of the bed)...white vase with a fresh flower of the accent color on nightstand.

Mirror opposite any window to reflect the light....if you have a dresser with a mirror, maybe detach that mirror and hang pretty artwork over the bureau but get a nice silver mirror to hang on another wall instead. Add cozy throw across an accent chair.

If you paint the walls...keep it a light background color so as to not compete with the bedding>>which is your main focal point.....something neutral is best...like with the above color scheme..a pale shade of gray even...or a pale shade of the lavender hues. Get paint strips, fabrics together--bring home and see everything in your lighting before you decide. Take your time and do it right..and have fun.
