If conservative voters give newt the nomination?

do you think there could be a chance that the GOP wont give it to newt and will try to give it to romney instead ?

To tell the truth, I'm not really sure what the rules are regarding that.

I've been under the impression that the party can nominate whomever they want, regardless of who gets the most votes in the primary.

Update:

I thought of this question after reading this

Update 2:

can the GOP break their own rules ?

or is it the law ?

The GOP is no different that the democrats and Fox News no different than CNN. It has been a bitter pill for this republican to swallow.

You are probably right. They will stop Newt one way or another. They are already going after his big Vegas donor.

If either candidate gets enough votes (delegates), he'll be the nominee. That's the rule. If neither one gets enough votes, then it will get interesting.
