Jehovah's Witnesses Do you say that Jesus "Is" and angel, or "Isn't " an angel, Yes or no?
Yes or no?
If He isn't an angel, He is something else.
If He is an angel, He cannot be worshiped.
How can Jesus be "Son of Man", and be worshiped by all the National Groups, and the angels,
And at the same time be an angel?
Angels cannot be worshiped...that's in the Bible.
You cannot prove He is an angel, yet you teach it, and shun men that believe differently.
Why do you set your beliefs on the shifting sand?
Change name, I will not insult you, but the teachings of Michael being Jesus are an insult to God.
If you ever change your mind about this, while you are yet a JW, and they have not changed their position, they will ask to to recant, or leave....Better make sure friend.
Change Name; You pasted; This scripture therefore suggests that Jesus himself is the archangel Michael."
You mean to tell me, you would rest the basis of your spiritual life, on a "suggestion"?
Christians need more than suggestions of realities, to make a thing "just so".
Please meditate on this?

lol. the answer is yes AND no, depending on when you asked them and what stage of newness the light was at.
1. An Angel that worships Jesus
"Hence it is said, "Let all the angels of God worship him;" [that must include Michael, the chief angel, hence Michael is not the Son of God] and the reason is, because He has "by inheritance obtained a more excellent Name than they." " Zion's Watch Tower 1879 November p.4
2. The Pope and Antichrist
"Michael and his angels"--the papacy and its supporters--fought against the dragon--pagan rulers, etc.,-- and the great dragon was cast out of heaven. Zion's Watch Tower 1879 December p.6
3. Michael was the pre-human Jesus Christ
"Can it be that he who was called Michael--Jehovah's chief-messenger--was none other than our Lord in his pre-human condition? we conclude that HE must have been "chief messenger." " Zion's Watch Tower 1883 June p.3
4. The Pope again
"Michael.--- "Who as God," the Pope." The Finished Mystery 1917 p.188
5. Jesus in heaven
"For many years Jehovah's Witnesses have taught that Michael is a heavenly name for the only-begotten Son of God, who was named Jesus while on earth." Watchtower 1984 December 15 p.26
whichever one it happens to be at the time, you must still call it truth.

Jesus is no more an angel then you or I am. The Watchtower has done this is order to protect other false teachings. Such as "the invisible presence of Jesus" in 1874 but then changed to 1914 in 1933. Also denigrating Jesus a to give the Organizational structure of the Watchtower more power and control. Making everything the the Watchtower says and does look and seem like it comes directly from Jehovah.
The Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society is the greatest corporation in the world, because from the time of its organization until now the Lord has used it as his channel through which to make known the glad tidings.

Do not conclude that there are different roads, or ways, that you can follow to gain life in God's new system. There is only one. There was just one ark that survived the Flood, not a number of boats. And there will be only one organization—God's visible organization — that will survive the fast-approaching "great tribulation." It is simply not true that all religions lead to the same goal... You must be part of Jehovah's organization, doing God's will, in order to receive his blessing of everlasting life...
Source: You Can live Forever (1982, 1990) p.255, Quoted at Quotes.Watchtower.ca
Only this organization functions for Jehovah's purpose and to his praise. To it alone God's Sacred Word, the Bible, is not a sealed book.
Source: The Watchtower, July 1, 1973, page 402
We all need help to understand the Bible, and we cannot find the Scriptural guidance we need outside the 'faithful and discreet slave' organization.
Source: The Watchtower, Feb. 15, 1981, page 19
Thus the Bible is an organizational book and belongs to the Christian congregation as an organization, not to individuals, regardless of how sincerely they may believe that they can interpret the Bible. For this reason, the Bible cannot be properly understood without Jehovah's visible organization in mind.

We should eat and digest and assimilate what is set before us, without shying away from parts of the food because it may not suit the fancy of our mental taste. The truths we are to publish are the ones provided through the discreet slave organization, not some personal opinions contrary to what the slave has provided as timely food."
Source: The Watchtower, Feb. 2, 1952, page 79
We should meekly go along with the Lord's theocratic organization and wait for further clarification, rather than balk at the first mention of a thought unpalatable to us and proceed to quibble and mouth our criticisms and opinions as though they were worth more than the slave's provision of spiritual food. Theocratic ones will appreciate the Lord's visible organization and not be so foolish as to pit against Jehovah's channel their own human reasoning and sentiment and personal feelings.

It should be expected that the Lord would have a means of communicating to his people on the earth, and he has clearly shown that the magazine called The Watchtower is used for that purpose.
Source: 1939 Yearbook of Jehovah's Witnesses, Page 85
Since The Watchtower assists in understanding the Bible, its study is imperative. Private study of the magazine is essential... If we have love for Jehovah and for the organization of his people, we shall not be suspicious, but shall, as the Bible says, 'believe all things,' all the things that The Watchtower brings out.

Would not a failure to respond from direction from God through his organization really indicate a rejection of divine rulership?
Source: The Watchtower, Feb. 15, 1967, Page 124
...Jehovah poured out his spirit upon them and assigned them the responsibility of serving as his sole visible channel, through whom alone spiritual instruction was to come. Those who recognize Jehovah's visible theocratic organization, therefore, must recognize and accept this appointment of the ‘faithful and discreet slave’ and be submissive to it.
Source: The Watchtower, Oct. 10, 1967, page 590
Jehovah is using only one organization today to accomplish his will. To receive everlasting life in the earthly Paradise we must identify that organization and serve God as part of it.
Source: The Watchtower, Feb. 15, 1983, page 12
Thus, when direction comes from Jehovah's organization, we can wisely submit to it, knowing full well that Jehovah will only lead us in a way that will be to our everlasting benefit.

Source(s): The ideal or concept that Jesus is Michael the Archangel is not found in the Bible, no matter how they like to twist scripture it's just not there. The only way is by buying into their false teachings and if you have read all the above quotes you can see that no matter what the Watchtower teaches has to be correct as it come from Jehovah himself. All their teaching stem from this concept. Their doctrines do not come from the Bible. Now they have changed some scriptures to match up with their doctrines but they are doctrines of the devil. - ΤιμοθέῳLv 59 years ago
LOL! Jesus is their "greatest mystery" that they just can't understand and solve! Jesus (The Word) was a messenger which the JWs could get confused with "angellos", those spiritual creatures, but they seem to forget men can be messengers just as well as angels, and Jesus was "the Word became flesh and dwelt among us"! Other messengers are not "the Word of God", as that one special title was given to only one Person who has the exact same nature as God! This exact nature is not a spiritual creature, therefore He can only be God!

Jesus is NOT an angel
God said let all the angels worship him see Hebrews 1:6 and he also said to the Son God is your throne for ever and ever. see Hebrews 1:8 God is the Father & the Son
Hebrews 1:3-14 NKJ
who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, 4 having become so much better than the angels, as He has by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they. 5 For to which of the angels did He ever say: "You are My Son, Today I have begotten You"? And again: "I will be to Him a Father, And He shall be to Me a Son"? 6 But when He again brings the firstborn into the world, He says: "Let all the angels of God worship Him." 7 And of the angels He says: "Who makes His angels spirits And His ministers a flame of fire." 8 But to the Son He says: "Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your Kingdom. 9 You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You With the oil of gladness more than Your companions." 10 And: "You, Lord, in the beginning laid the foundation of the earth, And the heavens are the work of Your hands. 11 They will perish, but You remain; And they will all grow old like a garment; 12 Like a cloak You will fold them up, And they will be changed. But You are the same, And Your years will not fail." 13 But to which of the angels has He ever said: "Sit at My right hand, Till I make Your enemies Your footstool"? 14 Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation?
firstborn can mean firstborn into a family and it can also mean a title of high rank.
David who was the last one born in his family in ( 1 Chronicles 2:13-15 )
was called firstborn by God in ( Psalm 89:20,27)
Firstborn in Colossians 1:15 and Hebrews 1:6 is a title of high rank.
It does NOT say firstcreation in either of these two verses.

1 Timothy 3:16 God was manifest in the flesh,

One God in three persons
The Father, Son and Holy Spirit is God
2 Corinthians 5:19 KJV
To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.
Colossians 2:9 KJV
For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

But Peter said , Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land? 4 Whiles it remained , was it not thine own ? and after it was sold , was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God.

Hi there again
I have never been taught that Jesus is just "an angel". I have been taught that Jesus is the son of God and the first creation by YHWH. I have been taught that only YHWH is to be worshiped and that we are to follow Jesus' lead in the worship of YHWH.
Here is what I was taught from the Bible Teach book about Michael.
"THE spirit creature called Michael is not mentioned often in the Bible. However, when he is referred to, he is in action. In the book of Daniel, Michael is battling wicked angels; in the letter of Jude, he is disputing with Satan; and in Revelation, he is waging war with the Devil and his demons. By defending Jehovah’s rulership and fighting God’s enemies, Michael lives up to the meaning of his name—“Who Is Like God?” But who is Michael?
At times, individuals are known by more than one name. For example, the patriarch Jacob is also known as Israel, and the apostle Peter, as Simon. (Genesis 49:1, 2; Matthew 10:2) Likewise, the Bible indicates that Michael is another name for Jesus Christ, before and after his life on earth. Let us consider Scriptural reasons for drawing that conclusion.
Archangel. God’s Word refers to Michael “the archangel.” (Jude 9) This term means “chief angel.” Notice that Michael is called the archangel. This suggests that there is only one such angel. In fact, the term “archangel” occurs in the Bible only in the singular, never in the plural. Moreover, Jesus is linked with the office of archangel. Regarding the resurrected Lord Jesus Christ, 1 Thessalonians 4:16 states: “The Lord himself will descend from heaven with a commanding call, with an archangel’s voice.” Thus the voice of Jesus is described as being that of an archangel. This scripture therefore suggests that Jesus himself is the archangel Michael.
Army Leader. The Bible states that “Michael and his angels battled with the dragon . . . and its angels.” (Revelation 12:7) Thus, Michael is the Leader of an army of faithful angels. Revelation also describes Jesus as the Leader of an army of faithful angels. (Revelation 19:14-16) And the apostle Paul specifically mentions “the Lord Jesus” and “his powerful angels.” (2 Thessalonians 1:7; Matthew 16:27; 24:31; 1 Peter 3:22) So the Bible speaks of both Michael and “his angels” and Jesus and “his angels.” (Matthew 13:41) Since God’s Word nowhere indicates that there are two armies of faithful angels in heaven—one headed by Michael and one headed by Jesus—it is logical to conclude that Michael is none other than Jesus Christ in his heavenly role.
I have been taught that Angels should not be worshiped. Jesus is not worshiped. The Bible shows that people bowed down to him because he represents YHWH and is our king. But he should not be worshiped as Jesus worshiped YHWH.
I hoped I answered your question. If not, please refrain from insulting me or those I study with.

Hebrews chapter one clearly indicates that Jesus Christ cannot be angel in any sense of the word. How jw can ignore that chapter and proceed with their non inspired interpretations is beyond me.

Jesus gives all worship to God and so should we.
(1 Corinthians 15:27, 28) . . .But when he says that ‘all things have been subjected,’ it is evident that it is with the exception of the one who subjected all things to him. 28 But when all things will have been subjected to him, then the Son himself will also subject himself to the One who subjected all things to him, that God may be all things to everyone.
They have to respect his power but they (Angels) do not worship Jesus much how we give respect to a Judge or Rule but to not worship them. All prayers go though Jesus to God they do not stop at Him.
(1 Timothy 2:5, 6) . . .For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, a man, Christ Jesus, 6 who gave himself a corresponding ransom for all—[this is] what is to be witnessed to at its own particular times. . .
Even Jesus worships God!
(Revelation 22:8, 9) . . .Well, I John was the one hearing and seeing these things. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel that had been showing me these things. 9 But he tells me: “Be careful! Do not do that! All I am is a fellow slave of you and of your brothers who are prophets and of those who are observing the words of this scroll. Worship God.. . .

It is absolutly unscriptural. Jesus is not Michael the Archangel. There is not one passage making that ignorant assumption.

They seem to say he was an Archangel but was annihilated at his incarnation as a human who was annihilated at his death but raised up as a 'spirit being' , a god inferior to Jehovah God
