Can my laptop handle 8gb of RAM?
I recently received an Acer Aspire 5733z-4851 laptop for Christmas. It has 4gb of RAM already, and it has two RAM slots inside. Also, it's running Windows 7 64-bit. The maximum amount of RAM it can handle is 8gb (using two 4gb sticks of RAM). It sometimes gets laggy when I run programs like Minecraft or Autodesk Inventor, but Gamebooster tends to help. Granted that I buy a laptop cooling pad and keep it properly elevated, will my computer significantly speed up, and will it be able to handle the extra 4gb of RAM?

It will, and you will notice a good deal of performance from that extra 4gb.

As far as speed up, it will not be extremely noticeable. there are multiple factors to make significant speed differences especially for a good gaming PC. you need to consider at least a mid-range Graphics card. the cooling pad, Processor and speed, Are you gonna run at default speeds or will you overclock, etc. Just changing a few sticks of memory will not make a significant difference. good luck to you and I hope this was helpful.
